The Earliest Experiences of a Baby.
The earliest experiences of every baby involve those of being carried, fed, and handled in a rather passive way. The baby also experiences being warmly held and cared for. These early bodily experiences give the child his first information about himself and about the people around him.
The baby became aware of his own body moving when he kicks, plays with his fingers, lifts his head when lying on his stomach, or rolls over. These experiences help to give the child the confidence to control his body and explore his world.
